Dorchester Two Educational Foundation Presents Teacher of the Year with Trip

From the district, each Teacher of the Year received a recognition plaque for their classroom, a framed photo of their class, and a monetary gift. The Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce presented each teacher with certificates from the SC House and Senate as well as from the Chamber and a gift. The District Honor Teachers also received a $200 Halls gift card from the Dorchester Two Educational Foundation.

The Dorchester Two Educational Foundation presented Mrs. Bender with a trip for two to a destination of her choice. Her options include all expenses paid travel and stays in Los Cabos, Mexico, Cap Cana, Dominican Republic, a multi-city Ireland adventure, and Las Vegas. As the third lowest funded traditional k-12 district in the state, the foundation is instrumental in funding important initiatives that directly support the teachers and students of DDTwo. This trip will be an incredible experience for Mrs. Bender that will create memories that will last a lifetime.

In addition, thanks to the support of DDTwo’s amazing community partners, Mrs. Bender also received a beautiful arrangement of roses donated by The Blossom Shop as well as a basket full of generous gifts from Carriage Works, Fancy Trimmins, Four Green Fields, Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce, JAG, Louise, Nico Romo Hospitality Group, Forte Jazz Lounge, and Summerville Family YMCA.
